Nairobi Nyeri to Marua Road is Improving The Status of The Following Towns.

Once dormant, some towns in the continuing construction of dual carriage way are flourishing back to life. The Gakungu market in Makuyu was dying a slow death due to population decrease and inadequate land for expansion. Today the place boasts of a rapid increase in population. It's now acting as a juctiin of two major roads: the dual carriage and the bypass linking Nairobi Meru highway to Garissa road in Gati-iguru in kiambuu county.

Kambiti town was heading towards a collapse, without formal buildings the town was witnessing a sudden migration of the people. The town had been left without life as only few businessmen were left struggling. Now the town is on a high degree growth rate. The creation of bus stops on both sides of the road is bringing ging back life and hope. Storey buildings are also under construction a sign that the place is soon getting back to it's feet.

The Makutano town has also gained a facelift, with the first modern roundabout the town is gaining popularity among the people living around the Kirinyaga county and sections of Murang'a. Travellers will find it a nice place to replenish and take a rest as it is strategically positioned.

The dual carriage is set to be fully launched later this year or early next year. It is among the projects which will give central Kenya greater advantage in economic development.
