Incidents of children going missing have been on the rise in the country with the government doing its best to ensure that the children are found and reunited with their families.
The cases have shocked Kenyans especially as schools are reopening across the country over the last few days as per the reports that we have with us from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
A young boy who had been missing for a few days is said to have been found this afternoon in Nyeri Town Constituency that is found within the County of Nyeri.
According to the available reliable reports that we have with us from Nyeri Muhoro Newshub, the four year old child was found brutally murdered this afternoon at a place known as Ndarasha.
The 4 year old child who has been identified as Peter Ndirangu is said to have been found brutally murdered at the Ndarasha area, Nyaribo in Nyeri Town Constituency a few moments ago today.
Police who responded to the scene have now begun their investigations into the shocking incident.
The boy disappeared from his home that is found in Chaka a few days ago with efforts to locate him being started immediately he went missing.
The body of the young boy is said to have been moved to the Nyeri County Referral Hospital where it is awaiting a postmortem examination on Wednesday of this week.
We extend our condolences to the family, friends and relatives of the young boy who went missing but has been found dead.
