The woman whose name has not been identified was hit by a bodaboda as she was heading to Serem market on 13th March this year.She had sustained serious injuries with her left leg developing a fructure.
She had been rushed to Kaimosi mission hospital where she has been receiving treatment.She waa discharged yesterday after her condition had improved.
However, it was a shock to her family members and villagers when the woman died at her home some few hours after she was brought home from Kaimosi hospital.
According to her daughter,her mother arrived home and started complaining of pain all over her body.She added that she never stayed for long before succumbing to the injuries the same day.
Her body was taken to Kaimosi mortuary as preparations for her final sendoff are oncourse.
Cases of accidents caused by bodaboda motorbikes have been rampant in tje recent.Bodaboda operators have been blamed for overspeeding and driving when drunk.
The government needs to look for a lasting solution to this menace so as to stop loss of more innocent souls.
