A 30-year-old man was killed after an argument between him and his 26-year-old friend ensued over a job at a local security agency.
Sources indicate that Mr. Ekai, the deceased accused his friend, Kipkoech of plotting to have him sacked at the ChapChap security agency so that he can replace him.
Ekai indicated that Kipkoech had employed various tactics to see him out of the company where he was working as a security guard.
On getting wind of his plot for his downfall, Ekai waited for the opportune moment to confront his friend. Unfortunately, what he thought was the best time turned out to be the worst time he chose to air his grievances with his friend.
However, Kipkoech denied the allegations levied against him something that angered Ekai. What started as a war of words turned into a war.
The two, drunk at the moment started fighting using sharp objects at the club. Unfortunately, they were both injured and had to be rushed to the hospital.
On arrival at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Ekai who had been stabbed on the chest passed away. Kipkoech who equally had been stabbed was attended to and discharged.
However, the police moved in and arrested him taking him to the Eldoret Police Station for processing to face murder charges.
Crime scene detectives visited the scene of the incident where they collected crucial information that will be used in the case.
