Barely a few months after announcing a crackdown on all criminals in the city and dealing with cattle rustlers the Super cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Interior and coordination of Internal security has announced another crackdown on those flouting traffic rules.
According to his post on his official Facebook page earlier today the cabinet has promised to give the inspector general of police support necessary to ensure that Kenyans are safe as they celebrate Christmas and new year 2023.
"Directed the police to crack down heavily, and without exceptions, all those found flouting our traffic rules. I have given the Police IG my assurances that we will provide his officers with the necessary support to enforce the safety of every Kenyan on our roads as we head for the festive season."
This is a move aimed at protecting the lives of those who are using public transport and all those using roads this is a move to reduce the rising cases of road accidents being witnessed across the country during the festive season.
