Cabinet Secretary for the ministry of health Hon. Mutahi Kagwe on Thursday, October 21, has announced new directives on Covid-19 restrictions to all bars and restaurants amid recent president Uhuru Kenyatta's speech during Madaraka day celebrations which took place in Wang'uru stadium. According to CS Mutahi Kagwe the closure of bars will revert to the earlier set time of 11pm.
"With the removal of curfew, we are reverting the closure of bars and restaurants at 11pm or the time allowed by the licencing authorities" CS Mutahi Kagwe stated.
According to CS Mutahi Kagwe's latest announcement, all bar owners and restaurants can now have a sigh of breath since the government has easen their work. However, CS Mutahi Kagwe emphasized that despite the government allowing them to work up to that time, all Covid-19 protocols laid down by the ministry of health must be adhered to.
