On Saturday, Kitui county was thrown into mourning after the reporting of sad news where by 33 three people lost their lives among them four children after a secondary school bus they were traveling in to attend to a wedding ceremony plunged in Enziu River in Mwingi.
The 33 people who drowned in the river were members of Mwingi Catholic Church choir who were attending to a wedding ceremony of one of their male colleague before they encountered death.
It's good news to the families that lost their loved ones in the Enziu river bus tragedy after the national government together with Kitui county government have promised to support the families in burial ceremonies of the deceased souls.
Speaking to Citizen television this morning, Kitui governor Hon Charity Ngilu has said that the government will fully support the affected families. Ngilu said that the Ministry of Interior via the National Disaster Management Authority was working out to find a possible solution on how to help the families.
