Two Men Arrested For Impersonation of Police Officers and Bribe Collection

Two men have been arrested in Ruiru Town for impersonating police officers. The two are reported to have been harassing the residents of Rumors town today by taking bribes from wines and spirits outlets around the area.

They were arrested without masks on them yet they were arresting those people who had no masks and later collecting a few from them after release.

They were unlucky since it was their proverbial forty days after citizens noticed that they were fake cops and raised alarm to police officers who arrested them.

The two men have been locked at Kihunguro police station in Ruiru town for impersonation and bribery while investigation on the matters are still going on.

Members of the public who brings had been taken from by the fake cops lamented on this ordeal terming it as robbery without violence.

The two will also face the charges of not putting on masks at this time that the country is experience a relatively high number of positive cases from the third wave of corona virus.
