A 60-year-old man has faced the wrath of angry mourners after he was caught placing eggs in a coffin during a burial ceremony.
The wife of the late reported that the old man was countered while he was placing eggs beside the body of the late near the head.
The man known as Benson Mumia from Lurambi arrived at the burial and proceeded to the coffin where he was caught performing his 'juju' while viewing the body.
This devious act angered mourners who turned to the old man and gave him a beating of his life making the burial service pause for a while.
Apostle Simon Malenya of Faith Believers who was leading the service intervened to save the life of the old man.
Community members led by Josphert Shitsama had reason to believe that the old man had something to do with the death of the late. They believe the act of placing two eggs was to make the spirits of the late lay so as not to come after him.
