Road accident is most unwanted thing to happen to a road user, through they happen quite often. The most unfortunate thing is that we don't learn from our mistakes on road. Most of the road users are quite well aware of the general rules and safety measures which using roads but it is only the laxity on part of road users, which cause accidents and crashes.
Therefore the main cause of accidents and crashes are due to human errors. We are elaborating some of common behaviour of humans which results in accident.
There have been more deaths from road accidents this year compared to a similar period last year.
A survey by the National Transport and Safety Authority, NTSA revealed that there was an increase of 25 per cent in road fatalities as of September 20, 2021.
Reckless driving, dangerous overtaking, drunk, walking, drunk riding, failure to use helmets among other issues have been attributed to the increase in crashes.
Between January 2021 and September 20, 2021, some 3,212 people have had been killed in accidents as compared to 2,560 who died similar period last year, an increase of 652 people.
Of those who have died this year 1,111 are pedestrians, 213 drivers, 331 passengers, 288 pillion passengers, 63 pedal cyclists and 738 motorcyclists were killed in accidents.
