Kenyans Warned as Heavy Rainfall is Expected in the Following Areas


Kenyans have been warned against very heavy downpour that is expected over several parts of the country as from the weekend. The Highlands East of Rift Valley including Nairobi county, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi and Nairobi counties are expected to receive rains as from tomorrow until Wednesday next week.

Mornings are likely to receive cloudy conditions with light rains giving way to sunny intervals. However occasional afternoon and night showers are expected over few places in the mentioned parts of the country.

Maximum temperatures are likely range from 19 degrees Celsius to 29 degrees Celsius while minimum temperatures are likely to low.

Detailed regional weather forecast period indicates that the Highlands West of Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and the Central and South Rift Valley especially Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Kericho, Baringo, Kakamega and Migori counties are expected to receive rains during afternoon hours.

Mornings are expected to be generally sunny, however light rains may occur over few places. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected over few places occasionally spreading several places. Nights are likely to be partly cloudy though showers may occur over few places.

North Western Kenya especially Turkana and Samburu counties. Days are expected be generally sunny and nights partly cloudy.
