Cases of Gender based violence are on the rise in the current society. The causes for the violence are not definate but vary from one couple to another. Recently, we heard two cases of world class athletes who were stabbed to death by their spouses.
In the most recent incidence, a 28 year old man from Machakos stabbed his wife to death after he found her in the act with another man. The man by the name Andrew Mutiso Musau had been suspecting that his wife has an extra Marital affair. He then decided to lay a trap on her.
On the material day, Mutiso announced to his wife that he will be really busy at work since his boss has commissioned him with alot to do. Upon receiving the news, his wife called her lover who happens to be their neighbor and a friend to the family and they decided to enjoy the forbidden fruit.
Mutiso on his timing came back home and to his dissapointment, he confirmed his fears by catching his wife red-handed in the act with his friend. It is reported that Mutiso rained blows and kicks on the man but he managed to escape.
Mutiso then turned to his wife and stubbed her severally using a kitchen knife inflicting her with fatal injuries until she lost her life few moments later as she was being rushed to the hospital.
Mutiso ran away after performing the ugly act but guilt overtook him. This saw Mutiso surrender to the police in the company of two of his brothers.
