Stealing the Speaker's mace will derail the County Assembly's proceedings since its absence in the chamber will render the house ungovernable and the MCAs cannot meet to pass law, or debate on anything.
This comes barely two months after a group of men wearing black suits raided the Nyandarua county Assembly on February 23rd afternoon with the intention of stealing the speaker's mace.
According to reports, there was a fistfight between two factions of the impeached Speaker Ndegwa and Nyandarua county boss Francis Kimemia as MCAs in Ndegwa's camp termed his (Ndegwa) impeachment as unconstitutional, a move that reinstated him hiring the alleged men in black.
