The news about the death of three thieves at Engen petrol station in Thika has hit the headlines. The three are identified to be long time residents of Kiangombe enroute Kiganjo. The three were attacked by an irate mob after snatching a woman's handbag. The three were burnt aive owing to the stated increased criminal activities in the area which has witnessed the highest number of thuggery actions.
In a close interview with the residents who are neighbors to where the three used to live. Their earlier life was very successful as they lived by selling fruits and groceries in a "Mkokoteni" which they co owned.
Their death sends a wave of warning to tens of youths who have ventured in to the vice and especially in Thika estates. The key regions where they operate include Engen next to polysack, Kiangombe opposite Mulika Mwizi, Bidco- MKU foot path and Biafra.
The bodies belong to the trio was later collected by Police officers drawn from Makongeni police station and were taken to General Kago mortuary where a post mortem shall be done upon identification.
