As many people continue condemning police brutality, one boda boda operator is reported to have been shot to dead by a police officer in Mutuati, Meru County.
It is allegedly said that the boda boda operator refused to give the police officer who was at that time drunk a ride to a route that it does not ply. In anger, the police officer allegedly turned lethal and he shot down the boda boda operator in the head. Unlucky, the boda boda operator succumbed to the injuries while on his way to Maua Methodist Hospital.
According to one of the eye witness, the rider told the police officer that he does not ply the route to Kamweline but unwilling, he was insisted until all hell broke lose. 'He unholstered his pistol and shot him on the head,' eye witness narration revealed.
This incident comes just weeks after another police officer shot to dead a boda boda operator along the Kirinyaga road for allegedly refusing to give him a bribe.
