Both the CBC, Std 8, and form 4 candidates began sitting for their final examinations yesterday Monday 28th November 2022. The examinations period began well and today being the second day, no reports of exam malpractices have so far been reported.
Yesterday after attempting the day one examination, it was reported that a KCPE candidate from Kakindu Primary School in Mwea went missing after returning home. Available reports that we have is that the candidate was sent to go and fetch water at Thiba River but never returned. Efforts to search for the missing boy began instantly and according to sad news reaching us this night, the candidate has been found dead in Thiba River.
Confirming the death of the candidate, the Mwea Sub-county Police Commander Emmanuel Kiplagat has said that investigations to ascertain the circumstances under which the young boy meant his untimely death has began.
