DCI Commandos have been dispatched to hunt down thugs who shot top city feared cop at around 4am today. According to the information shared by the DCI, a contingent of 3 specialised units commandos have been dispatched to hunt down the armed gangsters who shot at the top feared cop identified as Joseph Mwange.
The officer was attached to DCI's Forensic Fingerprint Identification Bureau and was shot while entering his house after a party night.
It is reported that Mwange was heading home in his vehicle while accompanied by his wife from a party in Roysambu when 4 man gang accosted them along Kamiti Road while posing a police officers.
The thugs then flagged his vehicle down and asked them where they were headed. In response, Mwangi had said he was headed home not far away and the thugs let him proceed.
However, the thugs trailed him and when he stopped to open his gate, one of the thugs opened fire and shot him before escaping.
The sleuth is currently fighting for his life at Kenyatta University Hospital where he has been admitted at the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition.
