Nairobi: Why Uhuru Park Won't be Accessible to The Public Soon

Uhuru park is an open recreational space within Nairobi city that is mostly frequented by residents within the town in need of a rest and other recreational activities including horse and boat riding.

A motion tabled at the county assembly to temporarily close the park for quite sometime was supported by majority leader Abdi Guyo and minority leader Michael Ogada who urged the authorities to work around the clock to ensure completion of renovation of the park within the stipulated time.

City hall and the Nairobi Metropolitan services had been tasked to ensure that the renovation of the park will be completed within the time span of three months.

This came after the Nairobi county assembly approved the decision to hand over the park which is just located next to the Central Business District a facelift.

Uhuru Park is located is located in Kenya's capital Nairobi and residents within the area are requested to keep away from the place until the renovations are completed within the stipulated time range.
