Residents drawn from Ainamoi Constituency have expressed their dissatisfaction following the disbursement of bursaries from the National Government Community Development Funds (NG-CDF)body. Led by Ainamoi Constituency Member of Parliament, bursaries amounting to 10 Million Shillings were issued.
However, according to a popular Kericho County platform, residents have questioned on the low amount of funds issued. Last year, in the neighbouring Belgut Constituency, bursaries disbursed amounted to 27 Million Shillings. Led by Belgut Member of Parliament Hon. Nelson Koech, the disbursement exercise was held at Seretut Secondary School.
Elsewhere, in Kesses Constituency, Uasin Gishu County, the disbursement exercise that begins on Tuesday 27th April is expected to amount to a staggering 22 Million Shillings. The exercise ends on 30th April led by the area Member of Parliament Hon. Mishra Kiprop.
Further towards the Coastal Region, the disbursement of bursary funds in Nyali subsequently kicks off on Tuesday. Nyali Member of Parliament Hon. Mohamed Ali is expected to lead an exercise that would see a whooping 35 Million Shillings worth of bursaries disbursed.
Owing to this, Ainamoi Constituency residents have cited unfairness in bursary distribution. In addition, other persons believe that some National Government Community Development Funds (NG-CDF) funds went into the wrong hands.
