Heavy rainfall is expected to continue over few places, according to the report shared by kenya Meteorological Department. Therefore the listed areas include, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, Kericho, Nakuru, Bometi, Kisumu, Migori, Homabay, Siaya and Kakamega.
Morning rains are expected over few places in the first half of the weather forecast period, however day four and five of the weather forecast period is likely to receive sunny intervals during the morning hours.
According to the report shared through KMD, afternoon and nights showers are expected over several parts of the lake Victoria Basin, the Highlands West of Rift Valley and Central and South Rift Valley.
The North Western Kenya especially Turkana and Samburu counties are expected to receive rains in morning hours as from tomorrow until the last day of the weather forecast over few places. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected over several parts of the region. Therefore members of the public urged to prepare for these rains adequately before that time comes.
Showers and partly cloudy conditions are expected over several parts of the counties during the nights.
Highlands East of Rift Valley including Nairobi county, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu and Tharaka Nithi. According to the report sunny intervals are expected over several parts of the mentioned counties as from day one of the weather forecast until Monday next week.
However afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected over several parts of this region, farmers urged to prepare for these rains adequately. Worryingly, drivers and motorists have been warned against driving through rains especially in the flood prone areas.
Finally, sunny intervals is expected over several parts of the South Eastern Lowlands of the country, especially Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado and Taita Taveta counties. Showers are expected over few places in the country.
