William Kipchirchir Samoei Arap Ruto is a Kenyan politician and the Deputy President of Kenya since 2013. He served as the Acting President of Kenya between 6 and 8 October 2014 when President Uhuru Kenyatta was at the International Criminal Court, in the Hague, Netherlands.

Today he toured the Nandi County to launch different development projects, and therefore he could not join other leaders at the funeral service of the late John Oroo Oyioka. Through his facebook page, it's very well highlighted on various launches he had done today at the said County.

Other leaders who attended the funeral includes Members of Parliament Simba Arati and Silvanus Osoro as well as the Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. Today Member of parliament for Dagoretti North, Simba Arati and Silvanus Osoro carries the day after they forgave each other in public, while in the same funeral service.
