On Monday 12 April, a tragic accident happened at Kizingo along Malindi-Mombasa highway. The 21 passengers were hospitalized in Malindi hospital as they get treatment. None of them has been reported dead.
There was a total of sixteen men, four females and one baby. Out of the twenty one survivors, four have been reported to be in a critical conditions since their legs were broken during the accident.
It has been reported that one car was trying to overtake the other one and in the process collision happened hence the accident.
The same spot, Kizingo, is where another accident happened earlier this month. In K24, one of the resident was seen in an interview claiming that the road was full of potholes which is the main reason for accidents in the same spot. The interviewee also said that drivers usually try to pass beside the potholes trying their best not to pass on top of them and in the process causing accident.
