Sombre Mood as Body of Woman Who Had History of Failed Suicide Attempts Found Inside a Dam

Residents of Miiri Village are reeling in shock after the body of a middle-aged woman was found floating on the deep waters of Kariminu II dam.

The body of Veronica Muthoni was found by locals who were grazing livestock near the dam.

The deceased, who is said to have had a history of failed suicide attempts, is believed to have killed herself by throwing herself inside the dam.

Further reports indicate that Muthoni have been struggling with mental issues.

Police visited the scene, retrieved the body and moved it to the mortuary for preservation pending postmortem exercise.
