The residents of Miminji ward in Mbeere North, Embu county were in a somber mood today, during the burial of the victims who perished in river Thura. The accident occurred after a bus carrying 50 passengers overturned, falling into the river.
According to reports from reliable sources, residents and family were assembled on time, to conduct a mass and bid their loved ones goodbye. The Embu Diocese Catholic Bishop Paul Kariuki conducted the funeral mass.
In the comment section, netizens could not hide their emotions. Some imagined how sad the event could be while others prayed for God to comfort the families of the bereaved.
Leaders who attended the burial passed their condolences to the family and wished them to dead eternal rest. They also asked those using public roads to be extra careful to avoid losing their lives and that of others.
