Amount of Money Fred Matiangi Gave During Funeral Ceremony of Five Family Members Who Died On Xmas


A last minute change of plan almost wiped out the entire family in the accident that happened at MacKinnon on Mombasa-Nairobi Highway.

His two sons Mike and Venand survived the accident and are currently recuperating at the Coastal General Teaching and Referral Hospital in Mombasa.

Therefore emotions ran high yesterday as the bodies of five family members who died in a road accident on Christmas Eve along Mombasa-Nairobi Highway were laid to rest in Kisii County.


The Mombasa based building contractor Ronald Bundi, his wife and three daughters Marion, Natalia and Claire like the close knit family they were in life, were interred in one grave at their Boigesa village home in Bobasi constituency in Kisii County.

The Transport Chief Administrative Secretary Chris Obure, West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi, Former Nyaribari Chache MP Robert Monda and Former South Mugirango MP Omingo Magara were among hundred mourners who turned to bid farewell to the family.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i was not present but through Chris Obure he gave the family Kshs 500,000 to assist the family. A thing that sparked alot reactions among the mourners.
