
Charity organization Population Matters has recognized one Kenyan based on her effective brave work to the society in honour of World Population day 2021. The pool of honorees was released on Saturday, July 10.
According to Kenyans.co.ke, Wendo Aszed got her recognition alongside Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Megan Markle. The latter were recognized for helping to ensure a better future for their children and being role models to other families.

“For this award, it means a lot to me and the community we serve. Women in rural areas face socio-cultural barriers that influence their utilization of SRHR services, the world is changing and so must the options women have in ensuring they get the highest standards of health attainable,” she said after receiving her award.
Ms Wendo is the founder and executive director of Dandelion Africa, a Kenyan based organization that focuses on women health and economic development. It also champions for 'Boys for Change' and 'Girls for Leaders' programmes.
