A Police officer from Kituo has been arrested following an incident that happened yesterday in the evening after he allegedly pulled his gun out after having a heated argument with his wife.
According to the reports given by a reliable source of information, it has been revealed that the officer who has been identified as Shadrack Munyao was arguing with his wife before things got out of hand after which he pulled out his gun.
This was followed by a swift move after the officers son jumped and picked up the gun after it fell on the ground while both husband and wife were allegedly wrestling each other for it.
Reports given by the woman has revealed that her son who has been identified as Daniel Munyao allegedly picked up the gun after which they both rushed with it to the police station in fear of the officer who they claimed might have shot them.
The rogue police officer was later taken to the police station for more investigation hours after he was arrested by his colleagues. According to the police report, they revealed that the gun which was also retrieved had one full ammunition of bulets.
In the past few days, several police officers have been put on the spot for various misconducts. In one of incidents, a police officer from Thika was arrested after he allegedly left his station to go and kill a woman who stole from him.
Due to the increasing rate of police brutality among other things, the inspector General of police, Hillary Mutyambai has revealed that over 100k police officers are set to go through a mental assessment test. This is due to the fact that mental health issues has been blamed on all of this cases in relation to depression among other issues.
