There has happened a grisly accident along Kalundu- Kitui road at 5.00am.Whereby, a car that was carrying three passengers rolled several times and landed by the roadside. The three people have been injured and taken to Mwingi level 4 hospital for treatment.
The remains of the personal car have been pulled and taken to Mwingi police post. Investigation has began on the cause of the accident.
According to traffic officers,the car driver was trying to overtake a heavy truck and was overspeeding.And that could be the main cause of the car roll.
The traffic officers have then urged the drivers to ensure that,all the set safety rules on the roads are followed.Adding that if any is caught breaking, the law will severely act on them.They have also urged the passengers not to accept to be carried by overspeeding vehicles. Adding that people's lives are precious and should be protected.
