Residents of a village in Bomet county are coming to terms with the untimely death of a middle aged woman after she was allegedly attacked and killed by her estranged husband. The saddening incident happened at Chepalungu whereby the man believed to be the attacked is currently fighting for his life at Longisa county referral hospital after attempting to kill himself. According to the area chief, Richard Egon, the man was rescued from his home after being found unconscious following poison uptake. He stated that the couple had their personal matters that led to the lady running away from her marital home.
Explaining the incident, a close family member of the deceased stated that they were shocked to find the body of their loved one lying lifeless at their home gate. The body had deep cuts in it that had been inflicted by the murdered presumed to be her lover. The man is alleged to have lured her to meet him and it is then when the man attacked her and proceeded to attempt to take his own life
