Thika Superhighway is one of the most busy highway in Nairobi. It is linking the City's Central Business District and Thika town in Kiambu County. It was built to reduce congestion and to open up some initially remote parts of the two counties.
Although the highway was completed some years back, Kenya National Highway Authority still continue with construction of some flyovers and generally maintenance. One of the recent projects on the road done by KENHA contractors is the Drive Inn flyover. It was opened for use and today netizens were keen to spot pedestrian being rained on.
Many Netizens reacted after a photo shared by one of the traffic alert channel called Ma3Route on twitter showing the flyover without shade to protect the pedestrian from rain and intense sunlight.
In some flyovers in the highway, shade had been fixed and thus this raised eyebrows among the netizens on twitter. Here are some of their comments.
