The Kenya Meteorological Department, through Director of Meteorological Services Dr David Gikungu, continues to warn the residents of parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley and the Lake Victoria Basin to brace for rainfall valid between 26th to 30th May 2022.
Based on the five days weather update given today on the Department's Official website, similar amount Rainfall is expected over several parts of the Central and South Rift Valley. However, KMD notes that only a few areas in the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, the Coast and North-western Kenya will receive rainfall within the five days dateline.
The rest of the country is however likely to be generally dry as harvesting period nears its horizons. With barely six days remaining to the end of March-April-May Rainfall season, the intensity of rainfall nationwide is likely to reduce to give way for the farmers to start carrying out harvesting practices.
