One Knocked Down in Mlolongo Old Foot Bridge, High Alert Urged as Traffic starts to Grow

The number of accidents in Mombasa road has been seen to grow immensely. Though there has been calls going round in social media platforms urging drivers to be cautious at this time when schools have closed and the Easter celebrations are nearing. The cases reported each day are a wake up call for not only the drivers to be careful but also the pedestrians.

The accidents which has happened today at 1pm has seen a pedestrian who failed to be cautions and use a foot bridge to cross the road. He opted to cross the road one on one leading to an overspeending probox to knock him down.

Pedestrians should be sensitized on the Importance of obeying road traffic rules. Such as using the foot path and not crossing the road where there are no zebra cross road signs. This was many peoples lives shall be saved as there will be no confusion as drivers speed and decelerate to give way for walking citizens.

Ensure to check on your friends and family in Mlolongo and those within Mombasa road to ensure they are safe. Traffic is said to be growing as the man has not been collected by police from the accident scene.
