The modern technology has led to moral decadence among the current generation as our children are engaged in activities which are against societal cultural beliefs and values. Peer pressure among the teenage children and the youths have exposed many of them to drugs at an early age leading to addiction. Those who are addicted to drugs always engage in various social injustices like prostitution among others.
Many drug addicts find themselves in hard situation of getting away from addiction. Latifa Said is a lady from Mombasa has been a drug addict for over 18 years. The lady was addicted to Heroine and she highlights her journey how she started from sniffing the drugs to injecting herself. It all began when she went to boarding Highschool and with all the peer pressure at school, she found her self under the influence of drugs.
The addiction made her flee from home for over 3 years and in the process she found herself broke to an extent she had to engage in prostitution. This made her to steal from her clients and hence it has been a challenge to her.
The Good news is that she has transformed for the better after going through rehabilitation and her regular visits to her doctor made it possible for her to quit drug addiction. She has now teamed up with other ladies like her to educate the young girls on the dangers of drug abuse.
