The Nairobi Nyeri Dual Carriageway construction is almost finished. The road is fast gaining popularity among the many which attract hundreds of users each day. The phased reopening of sections of the road which are complete has opened new door of opportunities for motorists and people living along the highway.
Motorists and especially public service vehicle operators are citing a sudden increase in number of clients especially those who have migrated to the route due to the better road. The road would initially attract massive congestion which discouraged people from migrating to the route.
Drivers can now use at least 20-30 minutes from Sagana to Thika when the road will be fully opened and put into official use. Motorists are enjoying the phased reopening and are happy of continueing upgrading of the sections which are currently incomplete. The construction works is scheduled to end this December and grand commissioning done the same period. Currently relocation of network cables is undergoing with strict supervision of the police.
