"Awekwe Ndani?" Hawker On The Spot After He Was Caught Fetching Sewage And Selling As Clean Water

Dirty water is associated with diseases such as Cholera, Diarrhea, Typhoid, and Bilharzia. It is therefore advisable to avoid dirty water to avoid health complications.

A Nairobi hawker is on the spot after he was caught red-handed fetching sewage and selling it to residents in estates as clean water.

According to Kenya.co.ke, this incident was witnessed in Umoja three estate, and a resident filmed the act. The resident said that the hawkers use handcarts alias Mkokoteni where they distribute the sewage water to different households and customers.

This matter was reported to NEMA( Nairobi Environment And Management Authority), who promised to take action.

This comes a few days after NAWSCo announced water interruption in some estates in Nairobi. The hawkers are said to be taking advantage of this situation.

What else could be driving the hawker to do this to his fellow human beings? What should be done to this hawker? Drop your comment.
