Two police officers butchered in cold-blood by unknown thugs during a robbery ordeal in Busia County.
This is according to the Facebook post by K24 Digital on Thursday afternoon.
"Elsewhere in Matayos, Busia County, police are investigating the death of two-night guards who were murdered in cold blood during a robbery incident." The statement read in part.
The bodies of the duo identified as James Wawire and Vincent Ouma were discovered lying in a pool of blood after they were killed by unknown thugs.
Busia County police commander confirmed the incident saying investigations are underway.
The suspected killers therefore gain access into two shops in the market and fled with 33 jerricans of cooking oil and an unspecified number of mobile phones and safaricom credits.
"It was unraveled that the duo were killed by unknown thugs who raided two shops and fled with 33 jerricans of cooking oil, and unspecified number of phones, and credit," a police report read out.
Meanwhile, the two corpses have since been transferred to Busia County Hospital Morgue pending autopsy.
