Police in Bomet County are investigating an incident whereby a 29- year old man is suspected to have committed suicide after killing a form three student student.
According to reports by a local radio station, the 29- year old was found hanging lifeless on a tree by one of the area residents who was passing by the area on his way to the farm.
Metres away from the scene was the body of the 18-year old form three student lying lifeless in a pool of blood with an axe beside it. It is suspected that the killer might have used the axe to knock down the boy who died on the spot. There were no signs of struggles.
Confirming the incident, the area chief, Alfred Arwasa said that the two had been spotted together on Sunday at a shopping center before they left for home for the night. It was in the early morning of Monday when the two bodies were found. They were later on taken to Longisa hospital mortuary.
