Daily reports have contained numerous cases of burglars terrorising innocent Kenyans by robbing them off their possessions or in extreme cases murder innocent victims. On the latest report is that detectives have managed to hunt down, a notorious city thug known for a series of home invasions.
According to Citizen TV Kenya, one suspect is currently being held in police custody for allegedly being involved in breaking in people's homes and robbery.
In reference to Kileleshwa police officers, the suspect identified as Michael Mwangi, posed as a taxi driver and allegedly used his vehicle to break-in Kileleshwa apartments. The man has since been captured on different CCTV footages of different houses.
Kilimani Sub-county police boss Andrew Mbogo confirmed the arrest which came after intelligence revealed that the suspect was located in Kayole Nairobi area. A couple of items have been recovered from the burglar's house including jewellery, electronics and perfumes.
Mr Mbogo has stated that a manhunt has been launched for the remaining accomplices who worked with the arrested one.
