A state of confusion has rocked family members and the authorities as a body of a retired cop who went missing early this month is found lying lifeless inside a lodging in Isiolo.
The cop identified as Njiru resides in Embu county but went missing before the news of his dead body having been found in Isiolo today. It is reported that the man left home to purchase construction materials by never came back.
Njiru reportedly checked in the lodging alone, what transpired leading to his death remains a misery as the workers only discovered his body behind an unlocked door.
The authorities have however swung into action to try and establish the cause of his death according to reports by the area OCPD.
"Investigations are underway to establish the circumstances that forced him to leave Embu and find himself in Isiolo," said the OCPD.
