'Shame" Respected Officer Arrested And Charged with a Serious Crime

One of the officers serving in Kenya as a National Intelligence Service (NIS) Official has dissapointed and painted a bad name for his colleagues after he was caught and charged heavily.

The police report reveals that the officer going by the name Simon Wanjau Mwaura, was in possession of Bhang Worth Ksh 120, it is also reported that the officer had some criminal offenses too.

The officer was found in Elgeyo Marakwet with six rolls of cannabis which are estimated to cost Ksh 120.

The 37-years-old officer was also charged with obtaining money by false pretence.

It was revealed that the officer collected a bribe of Ksh 350,000 from Sammy Kipserem after promising him that he would take his son to Australia for further studies.

Appearing before magistrate Jane Kamau, the officer pleaded not guilty and was granted a cash bail of Ksh.300,000.
