According to the most recent forecast there will likely be rain in various areas of the highlands west of the Rift Valley the Lake Victoria basin and the middle and southern Rift Valley.
According to the forecast released on Tuesday, there will likely be some rain in the highlands east of the Rift Valley and in northwestern Kenya.
According to David Gikungu director of the Kenya Meteorological Department, "the rest of the country is predicted to be mainly dry."
Infrequent chilly and overcast weather occasionally accompanied by light rain is predicted across the highlands east of the Rift Valley, according to the director.
Some areas of the south-eastern lowlands, the highlands west of the Rift Valley and the central and south Rift Valley will also suffer cold and cloudy weather.
The forecast is accurate from August 17 to August 21.
On Thursday and Friday mornings, cloudy weather will break into sunny intervals in the counties of Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka and Nairobi opening the way for a sunny interval on Friday morning.
On Sunday morning, there will be periods of cloudiness interspersed with sunny skies.
As from Thursday through Sunday there will be a small probability of showers in the afternoon while the nights will be partly cloudy.
