A ship ferrying tones of fuel has today 17th April sank in the coast of Tunisia.The crew members of the ship sent an alarming message to the authorities offshore.Tunisian Navy officers managed to rescue the seven crew members who were onboard.

The tragedy happened along the coast of Gabes in Tunisia.The ship was transporting the thousand of times of fuel from Equatorial guinea heading to Malta.The Tunisian authorities have noted that they have managed to reduce the environmental risk which might be caused by the oil spillage in the ocean waters.The authorities are also making a move to create a boundary on the ocean so as to help them absorb the spilled oil.
The Tunisian authorities allegedly noted that the cause of the accident was due to bad weather as water managed to get into the ship causing it to sink.This is happening when the world is experiencing a fuel shortage which is linked to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.Russia is a major oil producing nation in world.The coast of Gabes is reportedly experiencing environmental pollution as most of industrial waste are directly dumped into it from the neighboring industries.
