Reports of a Kenyan athlete expressing fear that someone is after his life over a dispute over property valued at 30 million emerged online leading to panic among Kenyans.
According to reports, the long-distance winner Abraham Chelanga has reported to the police station an incident where one renowned businessman is threatening to kill him.
Reports indicated that the dispute is over a land of one acre of a piece of land that the athlete acquired 12 years ago. The piece of land is situated next to the Moi university school of law annex in Eldoret along the Eldoret- Nakuru highway.
The athlete said that the businessman is treating him by sending him texts saying that he should leave alone the land if he need peace. He has recorded the statement with the police officers and the investigation is ongoing.
In such a case, marathoner Agness Tirop was found murdered by his alleged boyfriend after threatening him several times. Kenyans have called police officers to investigate the matter before it gets worse.
