Police Constable Rueben Kimutai took leave from work on December 20 and was expected back to work on January 9, 2021.
The officer was however involved in a hit and run accident a few days after taking leave and he spent around nine months in a coma at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
Neither his family nor friends got to know of his whereabout.
He took leave in december 2020 and was expected back to job on January 2021 but he couldn't make it.
According to the news the police man was involved in a hit and run accident before ending his leave.
He was then taken to Kenyatta national hospital and he had no identification because his mobile phone and wallet was stolen.
He was registered with wrong name and non of his family was aware about it.When he failed to report to the job the case was filed at the Madaraka law court.later the warrant of arrest was issued in his absentia according to police act.
