The government, through NEMA, has imposed a sh 2 million fine for any Kenyan found in possession of plastics, as reported by KBC.

The use and disposal of plastics are being strictly monitored by NEMA across the entire nation. According to the report, the administration issued a warning that violators will be detained and fined 2 million shillings.
This follows the government's decision to punish those who sell and dispose of plastic bags and other associated items.

The use of plastic bags and other such items is consequently discouraged, and if you do, you risk being charged with sh 2 million upon arrest.
