After agonizing days which turned to weeks, a Nakuru family can now breathe a sigh of relief after their daughter, a student of Bavuni secondary school who has been missing for days has finally been found. According to her parents, Joy was found in Nairobi's Kasarani area this evening.
The form 3 girl was found in a state of stupor with another unidentified lady dressed in home clothes. It's yet to be confirmed if the lady she was found with is the same one she was last seen with.
Her last steps reveal that she was last seen with another student from the same school. Joy Wanjiru went missing on Saturday after she was sent home from school. She was taken to the hospital for tests and treatment before being questioned to provide details of where she has been all through.
Nakuru has been battling with missing children with some being found and others disappearing without trace. The joy of Joy's parents is what parents of a standard seven girl of Mama Ngina primary school hope to get as their child also disappeared on Saturday while returning from school to date.
