The cabinet minister of security and interior coordination Dr. Fred Matiangi has today come out to reveal they the latest police service delivery index shows that there is an increase in public satisfaction on police delivery.
Through his personal Tweeter handle he said, "There's an encouraging indicator that we're steadily marching towards @NPSOfficial_KE reforms, with 63% of Kenyans reporting that they're satisfied with services offered by police, an increase of 29% since 2009 based on the Police Service Delivery Performance Survey 2021.
Rome wasn't built in a day. It will take courage and unprejudiced citizen review of police officers to realize our ultimate goal of a fully professional, responsive, and accountable @NPSOfficial_KE.
Following complaints raised by wananchi regarding the conduct of some of our officers at the Rioma Police Station, @IG_NPS has already taken up the case. Those found culpable will have to bear individual responsibility."
It is indeed true that the transformation of police service have been immense both within the service and to the public. The latest changes was forbidding the marriage between police officers to reduce mental heath challenged within the police unit.
