Yesterday, Kenyans were shocked to learn that another female athlete had been murdered by her alleged boyfriend in Iten, found in Elgeyo-Marakwet County.
According to reports from People Daily Newspaper, it appears that the body had been in the rented house of Lilies Estate in Iten Town for quite a while before it was discovered.
Damaris Mutua, a Kenyan athlete who does her trade in Bahrain had come to visit her alleged Ethiopian Boyfriend known as Koki Fai who fled the country after the incident happened.
Detectives have revealed that it was only yesterday that Koki Fai called friends and colleagues from an undisclosed location to confess that he had committed the murder of the famous athlete leading sleuths to the home where they found the body.
