A memorial service was held today, 27th September, for Dr. James Gakara and his two children Dylan Gakara and Karuana Gakara at Holy Trinity Milimani Catholic Church, Nakuru.
Dr. James Gakara was a Nakuru based gynaecologist, and was the main suspect in the murder of his two children, a boy and a girl. The late Gakara is alleged to have murdered his own children before attempting suicide on Saturday, the 18th of this month, at his residence in Kiamunyi Estate. He lost conciousness in the process and was found later and rushed to the hospital.
Gakara died while undergoing treatment at Nakuru Level Five Hospital after being rushed there but those who found him.
Some used syringes and drugs were recovered from his house.
Today, family and friends gathered to bid father and children a farewell.
