Deputy President William Ruto in Busia found himself in unfamiliar encounter after youth chanting in pro-ODM slogans pelted his entourage with stones.
The youth had blocked the DP's motorcade at Korinda area on the Busia -Kakamega highway.
Dp Ruto was forced to come out of his vehicle to intervene with the youth to stop chaos and allow him proceed with his visit to Busia Town.
In the process of cooling down the irate youth, an unidentified man threw a stone towards DP's vehicle, luckily he was not hit.
Ruto's security was forced to disperse the pro-ODM youth where DP motorcade rerouted to Nambale Town where he briefly addressed roadside gathering.
The motorists who were playing the route found themselves in the melee with several vehicles pelted with stones scattering broken window glasses on the road.
Ruto hostility managed to arrive at Busia where he was given a thunderous reception however he did not condemn the act in his address.
